Leptis Magna Libya

My last visit to Leptis Magna in 2007 with my driver Muhalab. Leptis Magna is located near modern Al-Khums, Libya. There has been a city here since the 7th Century BCE and has been settled by Phoenicians, Carthaginians and Romans. It reached its peak under Roman Emperor Septimus Severus around 211 CE. The impressive arch honours Severus, who was born in the city. The temperature that day was a comfortable 46 Celsius. No crowds here. On prior visits I was almost the only one on site.
